Otokoto Ring Care & Safety Guide

Thank you for choosing the Otokoto Ring, a sewing accessory designed to hold needles and pins with a built-in magnet.
Safety
- This product contains a strong neodymium magnet. Do not use if you have a pacemaker or other implanted medical devices.
- Keep away from phones, computers, magnetic cards, and electronic devices.
- Not suitable for people with metal allergies.
- Keep out of reach of small children. Adult supervision is required when used by children.
- Neodymium magnets are sensitive to heat. Do not use near ovens, stoves, or other heat sources.
- When attaching needles or pins, please use carefully to avoid contact with others nearby.
Handling
- Many designs use glass parts. Please avoid dropping the ring.
- If glass or magnet parts are damaged, discontinue use immediately.
- The ring top is attached with resin adhesive. Do not pull strongly.
Kimono Series
The magnet is coated with fabric.
Please do not insert needles into the fabric, as it may damage the magnet.
Storage
- Store in the original case, away from direct sunlight.
- If the ring gets wet, wipe it dry before storing.
- Over time, a green patina may appear on the metal base. If this occurs, gently wipe it with a soft cloth.
Note
Some designs use antique buttons or glass parts, which may show small chips or marks due to their vintage nature. These are carefully reinforced with resin while preserving their original beauty.
About the Magnet
In the Glass Series, the resin layer is intentionally kept thin to preserve the brilliance of the glass.
Because of this, needles may sometimes attach to the magnet layer underneath rather than the glass surface.
